This course combines a practicum in writing nonfiction with an introduction to the genre.

Upon successful completion of this course you will have written a submission-ready magazine piece and a submission-ready book proposal.

Moreover, you will have gained some knowledge of theoretical issues in defining nonfiction, the nature of commercial and academic publishing and--perhaps most importantly--a better appreciation of the possibilities for your own future as a writer of nonfiction.
