Residence Hall Security is seeks outgoing
and active individuals with good communication skills for the position of Area Supervisor.
Job tasks include, but are not limited to: Conducting walking patrols of an
assigned living area for an evening in all weather conditions; aiding,
relieving, & supervising Security Monitors at fixed positions; securing
& alarming building access points; conducting walking safety escorts; and
responding to emergency situations. The position is ideal for anyone interested
in developing entry-level supervisory experience, as well as any motivated
individuals looking for valuable experience in the criminal justice field. No
previous security experience is necessary; however, we are seeking energetic,
outgoing people who enjoy working in a dynamic environment with people. This is
not a spectator position! Applicants must be students at UMass-Amherst, be in
good academic standing, have a clean criminal and judicial records and commit
to working at least three weekend shifts per month (until 3AM) plus one weekday
