We at CIRCLE work together as an extended family to bridge the divide of culture, race, religion, class, gender, and generation; and to cross the barriers between communities and institutions.

The Learning C A R T

(Communities Acting and Reflecting Together)

"We bring collective leaders together to reflect and discuss issues in their community, and then to decide on some action. We also encourage leaders from different communities to work and learn together through the Regional Council Network (RCN)" Carts hold, carry, and move things. Likewise, the Learning CART carries the knowledge of older, established leaders working together for their communities.
The Giving S E E D

(Students for Education, Empowerment, and Development)

"We watch refugee and immigrant college students give back to their families and communities as role models and mentors to newcomer youth. Together, college students who are a part of the Student Advisory Council (SAC) and youth develop leadership skills and organize actions to help their communities."
"We put academic knowledge to work in the community by bringing research, practical experience, and ideas together in support of projects like CART and SEED. Every week, we meet as a circle of collective leaders to discuss what we have learned and how we might do things better."
Roads help us go where we want to go and link us to other places. Likewise, The Helping ROAD links community and university people, resources and learning to build stronger communities.
