Alpha Phi Omega was founded on December 16, 1925 at Lafayette College in Easton, PA. Founded by former Boy Scouts, the fraternity has retained ties to Scouting. Alpha Phi Omega is based on the principles of leadership, friendship, and service. Since its founding more that 255,000 men and women have joined the fraternity, including President Bill Clinton, Astronaut James Lovell (leader of the Apollo 13 mission), and Clemson University President Philip Prince.
