Prison Book Project Every Sunday 1-4
We put together packages for Prisoners in Texas and New England with books that
have been donated.

Stop and shop in Northampton. Helping people shop for Passover. Contact Jacob if
interested.

April 11 - Committee Jam
Fairy Godmother project. Have formal wear you want to donate?

April 11-13 – Camping with Frank’s Troop
If anyone is available, he really needs help while camping (especially Saturday
night) at Noble view in Russell, MA. Any questions, contact Diana.

April 12 – Alpha Phi Omega’s 5K Road Race
Registration starts at 8. Race starts at 9.
From April 7th (Monday) to April 11th we will be tabling in the campus center
from 9:00am-2:00pm. Talk to Kate (kdarling@student.umass.edu) for questions or
to sign up. We will also be raffling prizes, with contributions helping area
homeless shelters. If you'd like to ask business(es) in town for donations, talk
to Kate.

Fri-Sat April 18-19 – Relay for Life
Ordering t-shirts - $5 each. White with APO relay for life 2008
Shirts will be tie-died. If you want a t-shirt contact Ali or Tricia. Money due
by 4/13 to Yukeshan. Bake sale in front of tent. German? Cookies? Pretzels?
Canning at Stop and Shop in Northampton. Email relatives, send letters. Want
donation envelopes? Contact Ali/Tricia. If you have camping/ folding chairs we
can use please bring them.

Mon April 21 – Boston Marathon
We are at water station 5 (Framingham). We will be staying at Steve and
Yukeshan's house in Acton, Ma.
**Any alumni, if you need a place to stay, please let Heather
(aurorasflipflops@yahoo.com) know, we have plenty of space for you. Directions
will be sent out closer to the date.

Thurs Apr 24 – WGBY Wine and Dine Auction 9pm - 1130pm
Need to answer phones, run bids and record on whiteboard. (The auction will
also be happening on 4.23.08 and 4.25.08.. If you'd like to attend one, contact
Shawn, sbrobbin@student.umass.edu)

Tues April 29 – UMASS founders day. 145th Anniversary. 2 types of functions.
Ushers (9-11am) and Hosts (8am-2pm).

Thurs May 1 –Locks for Love Hair Drive
Flyers are in Jill's mailbox--flyer!! (you get service hours!)
Tell everyone to grow their hair!

May 8, May 14 – Operation Military Kid Training
301 Slobody building. An effort to help children whose parents are in the
military stay connected with their parent(s) overseas. The three training
sessions are for a variety of software and hardware, video imaging and many
other different publishing software. This training would be used at family days
and other events.
The training days are:

5.8.08--1:00pm-4:00pm
5.4.08--9:00am-12:00pm
Only one training session is needed.

May 12-16 – Fill a bus
Our duties involve manning the bus at all times. We will collect and sort
donations of clothing, non-perishable food, and other similar things to give
Amherst survival shelter.

Shawn was contacted by Amherst High School. They are interested in having
college kids tutor high school children in Math, Science and Social Studies.
They would prefer our help on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 220 to 330 or
400. Our goal is to be positive role models.

May 16 – Possible Security event.
Clarion Hotel, Northampton.

MVP:

April 20 - Membership Summit at University of Hartford.
Learn about membership retention, MVP, recruiting new members, etc.
Free Pizza lunch!

Pledge Liaison – Thank you for coming today to the service and fellowship
projects. The pledge class discussed awards. They will be learning the toast
song and taking the nationals quiz next week. Their books are due on Friday Apr
25th.

FVP:

April 8 – Games/interviews night. 7pm. Meet in the office at 645.

April 10 – Capture the flag – blue and gold competition 730pm
If it rains, we will be in the student union and campus center. Each team is
responsible for coming up with 4 items). Teams open envelopes and within are
clues.
If you get tagged by the other team you must go back to the office and answer
questions about APO.

April 11 – Comedy Jam. Meet at 730 in the office.

April 15th or 17th – Office Party. Opportunity to get office hrs, fellowship
points and interviews.

May 10 – Banquet
Monkey Bar (dress is semi-formal)
Amherst Center
Cocktail hour from 5-6
Dinner at 6.

Founder’s day will be the afternoon of May 10.

Ali is now a declared Art Major! YAY!

20 service hrs due by April 25th.

Wednesday in the Campus Center, VESMA is collecting toiletries – care package
drive.

Wednesday April 16th – Red Sox vs. Yankees. Molly will be creating visual aids
on Germany for Relay. Join her and watch the game in the Blue Wall at 7pm.

Thursday 10-2 – Financial Literacy Tables in the CC. Erin will be teaching.
Monday night at 7pm in the Webster classroom.

Shawn, Lauren, Daria, and Eric are training for the Boston Marathon--contact one
of them if interested in training with them.
