Materials

Required by the first day of class:
an OITUNIX account

The following materials will be useful, but wait for the first class before you buy anything. At that time we will discuss what is required.

Notebook:
1 3 or 4 inch three ring binder (this is mandatory, as you will have a large number of handouts and materials to store and keep handy.)

Pencils:
1 set Staedtler drawing pencils of various hardness
3 (minimum) colored pencils.
NOTE: When buying colored penciles, avoid the hard kind.

Pens:
1 felt-tip pen (black)
3-4 Gel micro or fine tip black pens

Markers:
5 (minimum) Prismacolor felt tip markers (assorted colors)
NOTE: When buying felt-tip markers, consider warm grays for quickly rendered shading effects.

Paper:
1 large newsprint pad (18" x 24")
1 lage pad of gridded paper
1 hardcover drawing notebook

Erasers:
1 pink pearl
1 Staedtler plastic earaser

Tools:
1 Exacto knife with #11 blade
1 pair scissors
1 24" ruler

Electronic Equipment:
2 100 meg zip disks
