Directions to Totman Building
Traveling EAST on Route 9 (from I-91 and Northampton Bridge)
1.) Take the Mass Pike east to I-91 North
2.) Exit I-91 at Route 9 East
3.) Follow Route 9 East until you see a sign for Rte 116 North (there
is a Holiday Inn on your left) and take that left;
4.) Take the first exit, bear right at the end of the
exit and you'll see the University;
5.) Take the first left onto Commonwealth Avenue (Boyden Gym is now on
your right and playing fields on your left) and follow the road around for
approximately one mile
6.) At the third traffic light will be the intersection of North
Pleasant St. and Eastman Lane
7.) Go through the traffic light and left into the first parking lot.
This is lot #43.
Park in NON-METERED spot.
Traveling WEST on Route 9 (from downtown Amherst)
Turn RIGHT onto University Drive (Big Y on corner). At 2nd light, turn
RIGHT onto Massachusetts Avenue. Immediately merge left and turn LEFT at
first light onto Commonwealth Avenue. Stay in left lane and go straight
through 2 traffic lights. Go straight through 3rd light and cross North
Pleasant St. Immediately after crossing N. Pleasant, turn left into
parking lot. Park in lot 43 in a NON-METERED spot.
Traveling SOUTH on Route 116 (from areas North)
Turn LEFT onto Route 63 (also called Meadow Street). Turn RIGHT at
first light onto North Pleasant Street. At next light turn LEFT onto
Eastman Lane. Take next LEFT into parking lot. Park in NON-METERED
spot.
Directions to Energy Metabolism Lab (Room 3)
Enter through front doors of Totman. Turn left and follow hallway
until you reach a staircase. Go down the stairs. Walk past the "UMass
Fencing" mural on the wall and there will be an alcove on your left. The
double wooden doors are the entry to the Energy Metabolism Lab.

Directions to Health Services
From Rt 116 (the section of Rt 116 NORTH of Rt 9) - Take
the UMass exit. After ramp turn towards campus. Go straight through
blinking light and the next light. At the third light make a LEFT onto
North Pleasant. Make your first RIGHT onto Infirmary Way. You will see
Health Services building in front of you and a guard's booth and parking
lot to it's left. Enter parking lot. Tell guard you are going to
radiology. Enter building through door across from guard station. Follow
signs to radiology (at the end of the hall).
