My TL Electro-X

This is my TL Electro-X, the first Yashica I owned.   I bought it new in 1972 for $170.   It's had probably hundreds of rolls of film put through it and with the dents and the paint wearing off is showing its use.

When it was about 5 years old I had to bring it in for some minor service, but other than that it's been going for 26 years.   It's always just been "my camera". I never thought about the fact that manual SLRs were becoming rarer until one time I wanted to pick up a strobe to use with it and couldn't find sales people in department stores who knew what I was talking about. I was shocked to find that their camera department didn't have any SLRs.
