Cockers to love forever . . .

Tripper - The new "Man" of the house!

Tripper lives at HiTrails and enjoys the outdoors, the trails and the smells of the woods.
Tripper finished his Championship at just 11 months of age with 3 big Specialty Majors! He is now busy training in Obedience and growing up. Watch for him occassionally in the Specials ring in the Northeast.
age this photo - 10.5 months.

Skylar - Came home to HiTrails at 9 mo.

The first time I saw Skylar since he left home - I was so very proud of him and how he showed, placing in both Futurity and Regular classes at Spaniel Club, January '03. Skylar came home with me to show and win the very next weekend.
Skylar is a very loving an gentle dog. He has his dam's coat - lots of it - and a wonderful disposition. He was "at home" with everyone very shortly after arriving back at HiTrails. Skylar finished his CH at 13 mo. going BV over Specials!

Tess - The wildest woman in the house!

Tess is also know as "High Test" and has so much energy that we get tired just watching her! She has a loving personality, but is full of mischief and always on the go ;-)
Tess finished her Championship at 13 months of age with 3 Majors. She is a small, well balanced bitch who loves to show off. Tess is retired from Breed Ring and will now focus on Obedience (probably Agility) and enjoying the trails and woods roads with her people.

Marti - The birdie member of the gang!

Marti is quite elegant and loves to carry "game" everywhere she goes. She is most happy prancing around with a large fleece toy in her mouth. Marti's goal in life is to be with her people running free and checking out her surroundings. A few upland game birds would always be worth investigation.
Marti & I finished her CH at 13.5 mo. with 14 points coming from the BBE class! She is just thrilled to be done ;-)

Scout - Taking his first Specialty Major

The first time I saw Scout since he left home - I was also very proud of him and how he showed! He also carries his dam's coat - lots of it - and moves beautifully on a loose lead. Cindy has him well trained ;-)
Scout finished his Canadian Championship 6 June, 2003 as a birthday present for his mom Crysta!
Scout finished his US Championship 5 July, 2003 going BV over a Special to become HiTrails' 5th homebred champion - all from Crysta's first litter!
age this photo - 8 months.

Max The dog who will always own my heart. . .

Max "retired" from Breed Ring competition when he finished his Championship there. He then trained for 2 years in Obedience - and was quite a gentleman in the ring. Unfortunately Max journeyed over the Rainbow Bridge 7 June, 2002. I will never forget how eagerly he greated me each day, his tail wagging - so ready to go for a hike. He will be loved and missed forever . . . gone far too soon!

Max (18 mo.) and Crysta (9 mo.) . . .

What a pair!
Young cocker spaniels pose for their people. They are attentive and loving, and will do almost anything for a treat and your kind words. At HiTrails, all of our cockers live in the house with us. We have no kennel facility and believe that cocker spaniels belong in the home with their people, even as show dogs.
