For the past 20 years Dr. Lyle Craker, a professor at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, has been actively involved in university teaching, research and outreach on medicinal and aromatic plants. Dr. Craker has written and co-authored several books related to herbs, including Manual for Northern Herb Growers, Exercises in Herb Science, and Herbs, Spices and Medicinal Plants - Recent Advances in Botany, Horticulture , and Pharmacognosy. Dr. Craker is currently Chairman of the Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Section of the International Society of Horticulture Science
