Parafoveal Cues in Reading and Picture Processing.  Grant HD26765 from the National Institute of Health.  This grant has been held since 1974.  It was funded initially by NIMH (MH 25868) as a small grant and then for 9 years by NICHHD (HD12727).  After that, it was funded by NSF (BNS-8609336) for three years prior to the current funding period (1993-2007).  This project has been awarded a MERIT award.

Language Processes in Reading.  Grant HD17246 from the National Institute of Health.  This grant has been held since 1979.  It was funded initially by the National Science Foundation for three years (BNS79-17600), then for three years by NICHHD (HD17246), for three years again by NSF (BNS8510177), for three years by NICHHD (HD17246), for three years by NSF (DBS-9121375), and currently (1996-2006) by NIH.

Phonological Representation in Reading.  Grant HD045056 from the National Institute of Health.  This grant is a pre-doctoral fellowship for graduate student Jane Ashby.

Visualization and spatial reasoning.  NSF-KDI award.  This grant is a collaborative project between faculty from Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, and Cognitive Psychology for 1 million dollars for three years.  I was Co-PI on the grant (1999-2003).
