Residence Hall Security is seeks outgoing
and active individuals with good communication skills for the position of Area
Supervisor. Job tasks include, but are not limited to: Conducting walking
patrols of an assigned living area for an evening in all weather conditions;
aiding, relieving, & supervising Security Monitors at fixed positions;
securing & alarming building access points; conducting walking safety
escorts; and responding to emergency situations. The position is ideal for

Apprentice at The FARM Institute

As the Garden Apprentice, you will be
expected to work 5-1/2days a week, either Tuesday-Saturday or Monday-Friday
with occasional Sunday irrigation rotation. Our gardens consist of a 3-acre
production garden, a community garden, and an educational garden. Your
responsibilities will range from seeding, transplanting, harvesting, weeding,
irrigation greenhouse work , setup and sales at the farmers market,
coordinating produce donation distributions, sales and deliveries with local
restaurants, and most important working along side mentoring children. As hard
as you work as a gardener, your commitment and passion for working with
children must be equal. A major part of our production gardens is working with
our WISP (work income sharing project) program, where
11-15yr olds are learning about sustainable agriculture while working in the
gardens and selling their produce at the farmer’s market for a percentage of
the profits.
When working with the children our
primary goal is to provide them with a safe and fun learning experience. We
give children age appropriate tasks and allow and encourage the children to do
the work whenever possible. We strive to celebrate accomplishments and to
encourage effectiveness, independent actions and independent problem solving.
The Garden apprentice will report to
the Garden Manager; you will be working along side the other Garden
apprentices, teen apprentices, WISP farmer/teacher, and other farm hands and
volunteers. This person will also assist
in all aspects of running a production garden, and will work with the
educational and community gardens, and work with the WISP program.
The hours of work are either Tuesday
thru Saturday, or Monday thru Friday, with occasional Sunday irrigation

following Job Opportunities:
Course Director - Responsibilities: Support Instructor teams through
entire expedition process, including instructor prep, gear issue, course
start/end, re-supply; On Call at all times while students are on course. Being
available for student behavior management. Medical evacuations and additional
needs while on expedition. Requirements- Understanding of
Outward Bound philosophy and methodologies; competence in a wide range of
outdoor skills and challenge course activities. Complete and through knowledge
of and adherence to all local operating procedures, safety policies and

Interns –
Responsibilities: (This is a paid position); To assist
the Course Director and instructor team with course prep; to assist with
student transportation to and from the course; to work with the course director
and logistics to provide support to courses in the field. To monitor student at
climbing elements and while on SOLO; to shadow instructors in the field.
Requirements: prior work with youths; Certified Wilderness first Aid or higher
and CPR. A strong desire to help teens develop in the outdoors. A minimum age
