Macromolecular Visualization Training for Non-structural biologists
First Glance in Jmol and Protein Explorer are very easy-to-use, web-based tools to explore protein and nucleic acid structrure.  It it is amenable to online presentations and advanced approaches in bioinformatics because it is web-based and programmable unlike RasMol. In the past, I have taught classes on Protein Explorer myself and serve often as a teaching assistant for Eric Martz, the author of the Protein Explorer software.  Commonly I guest-lecture in classes in our department giving tours of the ribosome in various classes  (Links to online versions of some of these tours can be found here.) Additionally I am well-versed in other software that can be used to make informative illustrations using protein and nucleic acid structures such as DeepView (Swiss PDB Viewer) and POVRAY.  If you would like to arrange a workshop on Protein Explorer or possibly a class or classes exploring the ribosome structure in an interactive way, please contact me.

Scientific Illustration Services
In addition to producing informative illustrations found in papers that have been primarily my own intellectual and research endeavors, I have contributed images found in textbooks such as Molecular Biology: Genes to Proteins, Third Edition by Burton E. Tropp, in journals such as Cell and Molecular Microbiology, and in books such as Landes Biosciences' THE NUCLEOLUS. Other examples of my work can be found on this page and throughout my site. I am especially familiar with the ribosome and other RNA-based molecules. If you have need for scientific illustration, please contact me.
